A socio-political group, Barade O’Clock, has intensified calls on Musa Ahmed Muhammed to contest the 2027 governorship election in Nasarawa State.

The call was made on Sunday during a well-attended programme held at Daddere Development Area, Obi Local Government, which drew youths, women, elders and political associates.

The event, according to organisers, marked the official take-off of the movement’s campaign in Nasarawa South Senatorial Zone, with plans to extend activities to Nasarawa North and West in the coming weeks.

Speaking at the programme, the Chairman of Barade O’Clock, Mr. Anas Ibrahim, said the movement aimed to present a credible leader capable of addressing the state’s developmental challenges.

“We are making this clarion call because we believe Dr. Musa Ahmed Muhammed has the vision and competence to lead Nasarawa State beyond 2027,” Ibrahim said.

He described Muhammed as a leader with political experience, intellectual capacity and strong grassroots connections, noting that his contributions to lawmaking and constituency development had earned him respect across the state.

Ibrahim explained that the initiative forms part of the broader Fatan Alheri  Movement, which seeks to mobilise citizens around issues of good governance, inclusiveness and accountable leadership.

Namairo and sons who is the chairman of the Occasion said the enthusiasm among young people reflected a demand for leadership that prioritises empowerment and economic opportunities.

“Barade represents hope for the younger generation. We are ready to support any movement that promotes competence and integrity,” he said.

Women leaders also pledged their support, stressing the importance of leadership that would promote social welfare and gender inclusion.
