2027: EBSHA boss, Igwe rallies support for Gov. Nwifuru’s 2nd term 

….launches impact foundation

The Executive secretary of Ebonyi State health insurance agency, EBSHIA, Divine Igwe has canvassed for massive support for governor Francis Nwifuru’s re-election in the forthcoming 2027 general election in the country.

Igwe made this known while addressing prominent stakeholders and citizens of Ezza nation during the official launch of Dr. Divine Igwe impact foundation, educational empowerment and football tournament held at the Nwode primary School Umuoghara community, Ezza North LGA, Ebonyi State.

According to him: “Today, we are recognizing the need for us to be in unity which the governor Francis Nwifuru is currently championing. 

“The governor has done a lot for the people in the state and that’s why we are replicating this good gesture to rural areas.

“In 2027 general election, the only place you will cast your vote is in APC. Ezza nation will vote for APC from A to Z. 

 “The only party remaining in Ebonyi is APC, other parties are no longer available.

The Nations News reports that the event was attended by chairmen of LGAs, especially that of Ezza North- Ogodo Ali Nomeh, Ebonyi LGA -Chinedu Uburu, commissioners, traditional rulers, Doctors, among others.

Igwe noted further that the launching incorporated the flag-off of the Foundation’s Educational Empowerment scheme with initial 13 beneficiaries selected across all the political wards of the Ezza North LGA, amounting to over N3m.

Also incorporated into the event was the official kick-of of the Foundation’s over N5m Football tournament involving the 11 wards of the Council area.

Earlier in a remark, the National Coordinator of the Foundation and Development Consultant, Ibiam Azu Agwu, said the objectives, mission and vision of the Foundation, was founded on the core values of compassion, integrity, service, equity and sustainability.

He added that the foundation is poised to achieve an enhanced Healthcare for all, education and mentorship, community and economic empowerment, security, as well as Agricultural development supports.

He added: “His vision is clear: to build a society where every individual regardless of their background has access to quality healthcare, education, and opportunities for growth.”

Agwu stated that the Foundation, in partnership with the Ebonyi State Health Insurance Agency, had enrolled over 5,000 children into the state health insurance scheme, enrollment over 1,000 pregnant women to ensure safe maternal and newborn care as well as sponsored free eye surgeries, hernia repairs, and fibroid surgeries for about 200 beneficiaries, among others. 

Responding, the Chairman of the occasion and State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Oguzor Offia-Nwali, commended Divine Igwe for his passion and all he is doing with public office as the Executive Secretary of EBSHIA.

He stressed that he has through the agency, in collaboration with the Governor and his wife taken quality healthcare to all nooks and crannies of the state at no cost to  beneficiaries.

Other guests and stakeholders who spoke including the Managing Director of Anambra State Health Insurance Agency and Chairman, Forum of CEOs of State Social Health Insurance Agencies in Nigeria, Simeon Onyemaechi; Chairman, Ezza North LGA, Chief Moses Ogodo-Ali Nome, among others.

They described Igwe as a go-getter and highly compassionate fellow who has made greater impact beyond his public office.
