Yuletide: Gov Bala’s Aide, Dangana calls for prayers to sustain peace, unity in Nigeria

Governor Bala’s adviser on Political matters, Ishaya Dangana, has called on Christians in the state and Nigeria to imbibe the spirit of Jesus Christ as role model and make use of the Christmas period to pray for continuous peaceful coexistence and unity among the people.

Dangana in his Christmas message noted that Nigerians should also use the period to pray for their leaders for God’s guidance.

He urged Christians colleagues to demonstrate genuine love for everyone during the Christmas season intentionally.

Stressed that Nigerians, irrespective of where they come from, “must work towards achieving the dreams of our founding fathers, who made a lot of sacrifices for us to be one.”

“I celebrate with the Christian fold and enjoin all of us to remember the essence of Christmas. In the true spirit of the season, let’s show love to our neighbours, kindness to the less-privileged and vulnerable.

And tolerance to one another across the lines of faith, politics and ethnicity; in the spirit of the unique sacrifice and teachings of our Lord, Jesus Christ,” he said.

“I urge the good people of my Bogoro Local Government to appropriate the hope that comes with Christmas and reinvest trust in God’s ability to restore the lost glory of Nigeria.

He further call on Nigerian Christians to pray for the country to overcome the myriad of challenges facing especially the issue of insecurity in some parts of the country.

While felicitating with Nigerian Christians colleagues for marking this year’s Christmas, called on his Bogoro Local Government Area of the state to always imbibe the heart of giving and show of love after the Yuletide.

According to him periods like this call for sober reflection, noting that Nigerians must be their brothers’ keepers at all times.

 He added that Christmas season represents joy, peace, hope, love, goodwill, all which are very much needed in the country at a  time Nigerians are confronted with diverse challenges of development.

The governor’s adviser, wished all Christians in Bogoro, Bauchi State, Nigeria and the whole nations happy Christmas celebrations, he also called for caution while celebrating the season.

Please let us be prayerful; all hope is not lost. Yes, the country is going through challenges in the areas of kidnapping, banditry, terrorism and the likes. With God nothing shall be impossible.

“Don’t allow Christmas to end today, tomorrow or next week. Keep spreading the message of peace and goodwill to people. Extend hands of fellowship to others and let them feel the joy of the season”, he said.

While commended the administration of the state governor, senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for considering Christians in all his leadership across the state.
