‘Settle Late MkO Abiola’s family with N49b to bury June 12 – Group tells Tinubu

A group on the aegis of ‘campaign for Democracy,’ has appealed to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to compensate the family of late Chief MKO Abiola, the winner of the June 12th presidential election financially to bury the ghost of poll.
The Niger State Chairman of the Campaign for Democracy, Abdullahi Mohammed made the appeal at a leadership and achievers award of excellence at Doko hotel, Minna.
According to him:” It will be in the interest of humanity and social justice that the Federal Government under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to compensate the family “
He noted further that, the family should be given Forty Nine billion Naira to settle the ghost of June 12, but did not elaborate how he came about the figure.
Abdullahi Mohammed commended former President, Muhammadu Buhari for bestowing posthumously the highest honour of the land on the late winner of the June 12, Chief MKO Abiola.
The Niger State Campaign for democracy Chairman described Former president Buhari as a leader with conscience, faith and strong belief in humanity.

According to him, the pro Democracy group is committed towards public good, protection of peoples rights, against violation of any form.
Among the award recipients were industrial unions, Media professionals, professional leadership achievers,, Legislative governance leadership award of excellence and public governance leadership achievers award of excellence.
