Senator, Kaila dumps PDP in Bauchi

Senator, Samaila Dahuwa Kaila representing Bauchi North Senatorial District has formally resigned his membership from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Kaila, in a letter of resignation dated 6th oct, 2025, and addressed to the Chairman PDP of Tsakuwa/Gabar ward, Azare. Dahuwa said that the incessant internal squabble in PDP, birthed his resignation from the party.

He noted further that the said squabble led to unnecessary factionalization within the People’s Democratic Party, is seriously affecting his ability to deliver his constitutional responsibility effectively as an elected representative of his constituency in the 10th Senate. 

The senator, Kaila said that “It is line with the above and after due consultation with my political associates that I come to the conclusion of changing of my political platform at this point in time “

Part of the resignation letter said,  “I hereby write to inform you of my decision to resign my membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect. 

Dahuwa who is the Deputy chairman House committee on health, didn’t stated the political party is going to, after defecting from the PDP.

He expressed his appreciation to the party for giving him the opportunity to serve his country in the capacity, said “I look forward to working with you in the future for the benefit of our dear great country “.
