The Officials of the Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board, in collaboration with a team of medical doctors, are working round the clock to upload medical fitness certificates of all duly registered 2026 intending pilgrims ahead of the March 2 deadline set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

The upload of medical fitness certificates is a critical requirement for the commencement of visa processing for cleared intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj has made medical documentation a mandatory prerequisite for visa issuance this year.

The Executive Secretary of the Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, disclosed that the Board has fully mobilised its ICT personnel, administrative staff, and medical team to ensure that all properly processed medical fitness certificates are uploaded within the stipulated timeframe.

“Our officers and medical personnel have been on duty day and night to meet NAHCON’s March 2 deadline,” he stated.

“We will not relent until every duly registered pilgrim from Niger State has his or her medical certificate uploaded and cleared for visa processing.”

The Board reiterated its commitment to complying strictly with all NAHCON guidelines and expressed confidence that Niger State will successfully complete the medical upload process within the deadline

It further cautioned that any intending pilgrim who fails to meet the medical documentation requirements risks forfeiting participation in the 2026 Hajj exercise, as visa processing will not commence without confirmed medical fitness clearance.
