Nat’l Grid collapse: Kogi Govt. partners commission on renewable energy project

Kogi state government has as a result of the frequent collapse of the national grid, vowed to partner the Energy Commission of Nigeria, ECN, with the aim of implementing the administration’s youth empowerment schemes in the renewable energy projects and programs.
The Special Adviser on Youth Empowerments Programme to the Governor of Kogi State, Abdulkareem Suleiman Onyekehi disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday after his official visit to the Commission in Abuja.
He commended the Director General/ CEO of Energy Commission of Nigeria, Mustapha Abdullahi for his commitment in the improvement of renewable energy in Nigeria adding that the Kogi State Government under Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo will continue to adopt policies that will make meaningful impacts on the People.
“Mustapha Abdullahi, a bonafide indigene of Kogi State, particularly Kogi Central, is making us proud in the energy sector.
“We had fruitful discussions regarding youth empowerment interventions. So many interventions are already in the pipeline for Kogi Youths from the energy commission courtesy of Mustapha.
“We look forward to a productive and sustainable partnership! We are committed to do more. We will continue to partner with the Energy Commission of Nigeria for the sustenance of renewable energy in Kogi State” he stated
