Muslim council distributes sallah gifts to PLWD in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Muslim Council in Yola has hosted people living with disabilities for iftar and distributed Sallah gifts, including new clothes, to over 50 Muslim members of the community.

 This gesture aimed to bring joy and inclusivity to those often marginalized, ensuring they celebrate Eid with dignity and happiness.

Chairman Mallam Gambo Jika emphasized the significance of Ramadan as a period of introspection and empathy.

 He encouraged well-meaning individuals to support the needy, highlighting the rewards of kindness and generosity in the spirit of Allah’s blessings.¹

The event was met with beaming smiles and heartfelt gratitude from the beneficiaries. Ibrahim Idris, Secretary of the Muslim members of PLWD. 

He expressed his appreciation to the council, assuring them that the gifts had brought immense happiness to the community.

In a similar act of kindness, the Attawanu Foundation gifted Sallah clothes to 150 orphans, ensuring they celebrate Eid in style, just like their peers. 

The foundation’s members contributed from their own pockets to make this possible, demonstrating the power of collective generosity.

As Ramadan drew to a close, the Muslim Council concluded their annual Ramadan Tafsir at the Moppol 14 Barack Jummat Mosque. 

The chief Imam, Moddibo Iya urged Muslims to continue their good deeds beyond Ramadan, perpetuating a cycle of kindness and compassion that benefits the entire community.
