Man, 34yrs arrested by police for allegedly defrauding #120m from a business mogul in Bauchi

The Bauchi State Police Command on Wednesday said it has arrested a 34 years old man, one Glory Samuel 

for defrauding a business mogul with one hundred and twenty million.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the police public relations officer (PPRO) SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil and issued to newsmen in Bauchi state.

The statement reads in part: “The arrest stems from a complaint filed on April 1, 2024, regarding suspicious withdrawals totalling N2,068,000 from the complainant’s company bank account”

“Acting under the directive of the Commissioner of Police, *CP Auwal Musa Mohammed, psc*, the State Intelligence Department promptly investigated the case. Their meticulous efforts revealed that the suspect had unlawfully withdrawn a significant amount of N120 million from the complainant’s bank account”

“During interrogation, Glory Samuel admitted to betraying the trust of his neighbour the complainant, with whom he had shared a market space for over fifteen years.
