LG polls: APC sweeps 18 chairmanship positions in C’River

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has swept all the 18 Chairmanship positions in the just concluded local government elections in Cross River State 

The Chairman of the Cross River State independent Electoral Commission, CROSIE, Ekong Edet Boco made this known while announcing the results of the local government election held on Sunday, the 3rd of November 2024, at the commission’s headquarters. 

He said that the winners have all satisfy the laid down conditions as stipulated by the law and also advised the winners to be magnanimous in victory

Boco also handed over a certificate of returns to the winners of the election at the collection center.

The Nations News Nigeria reports that the main opposition party in the State, PDP made no impact in the election as they could not win any local government.

After the handing over of certificates of returns to the winners, no party has shown any intention of contesting the outcome.
