Leadership: Jibrin emerges APC Chairmanship Candidate in Yola North

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State has presented Audu Jibrin as its official chairmanship candidate for Yola North Local Government Area, following a successful and widely applauded internal party process.
The emergence of Audu Jibrin has been described by party faithful as a reflection of confidence in his leadership capacity, grassroots connection, and commitment to progressive governance.
The Nations News reports that the candidacy of Jibrin has further energized APC members and supporters across Yola North, signaling renewed hope for inclusive development and effective local administration.

In his acceptance remarks, Audu Jibrin expressed deep appreciation to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress at both national and zonal levels, acknowledging their guidance, fairness, and unwavering support throughout the selection process.
He particularly commended the National Security Adviser (NSA) for his continued efforts toward national stability, which he noted has created an enabling environment for democratic growth and political participation across the country.
Audu Jibrin also paid glowing tribute to the APC North East Vice Chairman, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, describing him as a pillar of unity, discipline, and strategic leadership within the party.
According to him, Comrade Salihu’s steadfast commitment to strengthening the party structure in the North East has played a vital role in promoting transparency and internal democracy.
“I am deeply grateful to the North East Vice Chairman of our great party, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, whose leadership and encouragement have continued to inspire many of us at the grassroots.
“His dedication to the progress of APC in Adamawa and the entire zone is truly commendable,” Jibrin stated.
The chairmanship candidate also extended his appreciation to all APC stakeholders in Adamawa State, including elders, party executives, youth and women leaders, and grassroots mobilizes, for their confidence, loyalty, and collective resolve to reposition the party for victory in the forthcoming local government elections.
Audu Jibrin assured party members and residents of Yola North that his administration, if elected, would prioritize inclusive governance, youth empowerment, security collaboration, infrastructure development, and people-oriented policies in line with the progressive ideals of the APC.
As preparations for the local government elections gather momentum, the emergence of Audu Jibrin is widely seen as a strategic step by the APC to consolidate its presence in Yola North and deepen democratic dividends at the grassroots level
