Gov. Bala donates $ 100 to 176 Christian Pilgrims In Bauchi

The governor of Bauchi state, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has donated $100 to 176 to christian who will be going to Jerusalem for pilgrimage in the state.

The governor, Bala made the donation during his farewell address to the pilgrimage, at the banquet hall of the state government house, Bauchi.

He emphasized on the importance of pilgrimage as a religion, urged them to be good ambassadors of the state and Nigeria at large. 

According to the governor, senator Bala said that “As the Christian pilgrims embark on their journey, they carry with them the goodwill and support of the Bauchi State government. 

“This gesture serves as a beacon of hope for interfaith harmony and cooperation in a state that has historically been plagued by religious tensions”

He therefore congratulated the 2024/2025 christian pilgrims for having the opportunity to go for pilgrimage.

Speaking on behalf of the Christian, the Bauchi state chairman of the Christian pilgrim and welfare board, Mr. Simon S. Balewa expressed his appreciation to the governor supporting christian in all their activities in the state.

“The whole christian in Bauchi state are enjoying your dividends of democracy demonstrated by your leadership, is a clear indication of love, sacrifice, Justice and trust”

He also thanked governor Bala sponsoring the 176 pilgrims in other to go the Holy Land of Jerusalem, promised to continue praying for the peace of Bauchi state and Nigeria at large.
