Gov. Abdulkadir disburses N10,000 as Sallah gift

Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has announced the extension of palliative distribution beyond Ramadan and however, acknowledged the ongoing hardships faced by the people of the state.

Abdulkadir made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Bauchi by the special adviser on media and publicity, comrade Mukhtar Gidado to mark the 2024 Eid-al-Fitr celebration.

He however, announced the implementation of the disbursement of ten thousand naira as Sallah gift to the people of the state.

The statement reads in part: “”I have also implemented an unprecedented disbursement of ten thousand naira as a Sallah gift to state and local government employees.

He continued: “As we celebrate Eid, I call on all Muslims to embrace love and live by the teachings of Islam and the doctrines of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. During the Durbar”

“it is my hope that the lessons learnt during the month of Ramadan would continue to guide our actions and utterances after the holy month”

“We should also use the occasion to reflect on our past activities and see how we fared spiritually, so that we can take corrective measures towards improving our relationship with Allah (SWT), fellow Muslim Ummah and adherents of other faith.

“We should emulate Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by making sacrifices for the benefit of the less privileged ones in our society. We should also pray to Almighty Allah for peace, unity and prosperity of our dear State and the country as a whole”

“I would like to appeal to you all to use the occasion of the Eid-el-fitr to strengthen the existing relationships and also establish new ones. You should also imbibe the spirit of forgiveness,love and respect for one another. I also appeal for tolerance and accommodation by the various ethnic, religious and political groups in the State” he stated.
