Ezza-Ezekuna Benue applauds Ado Council boss for restoration of peace in war affected communities

The members of Ezza-Ezekuna Benue Development Association, EEBDA, has applauded the Ado Local government Chairman, Oche Sunday Oche for the recognition of the group as the sole Ezza Benue Socio-cultural group and his readiness to ensure total restoration of peace amongst Ezza Benue war affected communities.
The group, mainly Youths, Elders, traditional rulers, the political class and other stakeholders in the community made this known during a town hall meeting between the Council Chairman and the Ezza-Ezekuna Benue held at the council’s secretariat in Igumale.
Speaking at the meeting, the President General, Ezza-Ezekuna Benue Development Association (EEBDA), Lady Perpetual Nkechi Okafor applauded the Ado Council Chairman for the recognition, stressing that the gesture would further strengthen their social bond and his readiness to ensure that total peace is restored to all the Ezza Benue Communities affected by war.
She expressed deep gratitude to the Chairman for also appointing one of their members in the person of Mathias Ogbala into his administration as a Supervisory Councilor in charge of Health, describing it as a reflection of his love for Ezza-Ezekuna in Benue .
The President General equally enjoined the Chairman to deliver impactful services to the people of Ado Local Government Area.
Lady Perpetual Nkechi Okafor assured the Council Chairman that Ezza-Ezekuna Benue Development Association under her leadership would remain law-abiding citizens at all times and continue to support government’s policies, programs and activities and foster social, economic and good governance initiatives and progress of Benue State and Nigeria.
According to her, EEBDA as a sociocultural group of Ezza Ezekuna is a formidable voice of Ezza Ezekuna in Benue State.
The Ezza Ezekuna Benue State also thanked Senator Patrick Abba Moro, Senate Minority Leader and Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, for appointing one of their sons, Mr. Mathew Nwokwu as a liaison officer.
In his remark, the Ado Local Government Council Chairman, Sunday Oche said his administration would explore every available means to ensure that permanent peace is returned to all the warring communities in Ezza-Ezekuna in Ado Local Government Area.
He appreciated EEBDA for organizing the town hall meeting and creating a platform that had brought everyone together to brainstorm on how best to move Ezza-Ezekuna community and Ado LGA forward.
Oche further advised Ezza Benue sons and daughters to queue behind their god-given leader, Lady Perpetual Nkechi Okafor to enable her work more for the betterment of their community, urging Ezzas people never to allow anyone to divide them, emphasizing the importance of unity and togetherness as key to achieving more progress in Ezza community.
The Chairman equally reiterated that his administration remains people-oriented and ready to work with everyone, irrespective of political affiliation, tribe and political differences; stressing that election has come and gone, and now it’s time for governance.
He assured that his administration is committed to ensure that all Ado people feel the positive impacts of his administration and that of the governor, Hyacinth Alia.
