Enugu House of Assembly. harmonizes taxes, levies pass 1st reading

The Enugu State house of Assembly has harmonized taxes and levies (approved list for collection) house bill.16 2026 have scaled through the first reading.

The deputy speaker, Ezenta Ezeani at the resumption of the house plenary for the year 2026 presented the bill to the honourable members at the hallowed chambers on Tuesday 26 February 2026. 

Ezeani presenting the bill written under the name of the minority leader Iloabuchi Aniagu representing Nkanu west constituency, urged all the honourable members to pay good attention to the bill for a robust discussion for a second reading. 

The next plenary was later adjourned to 5th march 2026.
