The governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru on Tuesday passed a vote of no confidence on the commissioner for works, Stanley Mbam, especially for lying on the completion of a road project leading to the state pipe production company, Izziamgbo, Ohaukwu LGA.

Nwifuru who expressed dismay over the spate of sabotage by some persons handling government projects, vowed to take action against the perpetrators very soon.

The governor, Nwifuru made this known while addressing stakeholders and citizens of the state, during the official Flag off of the industrial city project at Izziamgbo Ohaukwu LGA.

According to him: “Even our youths are not prepared to be men, because many of them, if you give them jobs they will not also do it. They are also not prepared. They want easy money.

“Because they want easy money, they are not prepared for governance. To achieve money or wealth is very easy but to maintain it, so that the wealth will be part of them, is very difficult.

“We give you jobs (contracts) you will introduce stories. I pity many of our youths that have our jobs (contracts), but they are not doing it.

“This is because one day we will take roll calls and decide to take action. I struggle at all times to do goods, to make everybody happy, is to protect the youths that will be aspiring to take over governance from me tomorrow. I’m making a good sacrifice for the youths

“Even many of our youths who are in government are also not doing well. Looking at this road, the Commissioner for Works, Lebechi Mbam told me that he completed this road five months ago.

“But today, the drainage is ongoing, somebody that is not up to forty years old, but he told me that he completed this road over five months ago. If not because of this program, nobody would have been working there

“It is because of this program that made those people working there come out to work today. Every day, we continue to talk of our youths but the little opportunity given to you, you will not utilize it well.

“And so, we are in trouble. The youths, we are in trouble. We should change the way we are living.  we must change the way we reason. The reasoning and the disposition of the youths are very wrong to the society” he stressed.
