Breaking: 6 clergies kidnapped in Awka, Anambra

No fewer than six priests, including Archbishop Uka Uka Osim who is the Bishop of Abia State, his wife, Anne Osim and son, Roland Uka Osim have been kidnapped at gun point Awka, capital of Anambra State.

They clergymen of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, BCS, in Abia State and were reported to have been kidnapped on 1st May 2024.

Sources said the clergymen were travelling to Awka, capital of Anambra State on evangelical duties where the armed men abducted them.

Others similarly kidnapped same time were Azuka Ochu, Moses Okafor and Anderson Akwazie.

The Administrator of the spiritual organisation in Abia State, BCS, Bishop Denis Onuoha confirmed the kidnapped

Four days after kidnapped, we have not heard anything from the the abductors.

“We are very worried but we are assured that the Almighty Father who they worship and work for with total devotion will help them out. They will surely come out with testimony”, he said.

He called on security agencies in both Anambra and Abia States to step in and rescue the clergymen.

Onuoha said they are in prayers believing that the Archbishop and his brethren will be rescued unhurt.

Anambra State police command are yet to speak on the kidnap of the clergymen.
