Bloody Saturday in Enugu, as many citizens perish in tanker explosion

It was a bloody Saturday in Enugu state, as countless innocent citizens perished in petrol laden tanker explosion that occured along Enugu/ Onitsha expressed way.
It was gathered that eleven persons died at the spot while many victims were rushed to hospital for treatment.
The Nations News Nigeria reports that the petrol laden tanker was said to have suffered brake failure, tumbled, and had its content spilled, resulting to explosion.
The Enugu state sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Franklin Agbakoba, and the State Commissioner for Transport, Obi Ozor confirmed the accident.The governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah who visited the scene of the incident, tasked
all tankers conveying inflammable substances in the state to have anti-spill locks that will prevent spills in case of accident.
Mbah, however described the accident as very unfortunate and commissorated with the families of the victims.He vowed to take a serious steps in ensuring that such high magnitude of disaster do not occur again in the state.
The governor, Mbah also vowed to
fix the part of the federal road that is dead trap, to avert killings of innocent citizens.
