Bishop Nwokolo warns 85 new knights not to be enemies of Christ
By Cyprian Ebele, Onitsha
The Anglican Bishop on the Niger, Anambra State, Rt. Rev. Owen Nwokolo, on Sunday, read riot act to 85 newly inaugurated knights, not to be enemies of Christ or pervert injustice.
He made this known during the official investiture of the 85 nights into the Knighthood of St. Christopher, at All Saints Cathedral Church, Onitsha,
Nwokolo added that they were not knighted to use their position to fight the church rather the enemies of Jesus Christ and injustice.
Sounding the note of warning Bishop Nwokolo reminded them that their elevation is now a spiritual thing and no longer for merry making, eating and drinking but to work as Soldiers of Christ .

“There will be challenges, be strong enough spiritually to face the challenges, battles you will face are not physical but spiritual. Put on all armours of God to enable you accomplish this spiritual work.
“You have become a three star General, your General is not for eating and drinking. You will be given a sword against enemies who are not human beings. Not when you are knighted you turn against the church, the Bishop, choirs, and others.
“You wadge war against forces of darkness , don’t compromise, fight against corruption, we are sending you to go and protect the hopeless, the down trodden, widows and others who have nobody to speak for them.
“Why you are knighted is for you to make heaven on the last day. If you have not given yourself to Christ you are dead already.
“Anybody who does not know of the scripture is a soldier without a gun and can be captured. Prayer is compulsory, Nigeria needs prayer. You can’t do anything spiritual work without Christ,” Nwokolo posited.
