Bauchi Varsity trains 900 female Students On business proposal, ICT, Others

The Bauchi State Sa’adu Zungur University on Monday trains 900 female students on public speaking technique, CV writing, Grant proposal writing, business proposal skills, ICT amongst others.
The Nations News reports which is believed to be beneficial to the female students who are about to exit the university.
The University selected 600 of its students from the two campuses of Yuli and Gadau the main campus of the institution, which is designed to empower and prepare their mind towards approaching the real life as they are about to exit the university’s life.
The training was organized by Entrepreneurship Development Centre of the Sa’adu Zungur University SAZU in collaboration with Jobberman and Giwo Agro with funding from Master Card Foundation.
Vice Chancellor of Sa’adu Zungur University, Fatimah Tahir while addressing the participants said, “It is not enough for you to graduate without having what we call extra-value attached to it,” adding that, “Giving you a skills, how to communicate for example in public, is a skills.
The vice Chancellor who was represented by the Director Entrepreneurship Development Centre Salisu Ibrahim Waziri, The emphasizes that it is important for them to have different types of skills to be able to succeed in life.
Tahir charged the participants to utilize the golden opportunity as being provided by the Jobberman and Giwa Agro under the Marlster Card, to train the female students free of charge.
She said the knowledge gain from the training will have a generational effect not only on the students, but also to the society in general, considering the saying that educating a woman is educating the society.
In his remarks, Lead Consultant, Giwa Agro Malam Ibrahim Aminu Tahir said the training, which is attached to employability will equip the participants with the necessary know-how on how to easily get job after graduation.
He reaffirmed their commitment towards partnership with the university’s management for continuous support to ensure academic excellence.
