Bauchi Varsity applauds Gov Bala For increasing funding

The management of Sa’adu Zungur University SAZU and the entire University community expressed their profound gratitude and sincere appreciation to the state governor, Bala Mohammed  Abdulkadir for the monthly allocation and subvention. 

This was contained in a press statement signed by the University public relations officer, Auwal Hassan and made available to newsmen in Bauchi. Said the increased of funding is a giant strides.

The press statement read “This indeed, is a remarkable effort by the administration of the Governor, His Excellency Senator Bala Mohammed towards improving the standard of the University, which is in line with his vision of improving the standard and quality of education in Bauchi state”

The Vice Chancellor of the University,  Fatimah Tahir, and the entire management of the Institution are optimistic that this giant stride can go a long way in addressing most, if not all, the challenges faced by the University, particularly in the area of teaching and learning.

 Tahir commended the governor for understanding the numerous challenged facing the Institution particularly that of inadequate funding which slows down the University to be able to compete with its counterparts in other states of the country. This will now become a thing of the past.

Recall that in a Letter of Appreciation signed by the University’s Registrar A.G. Hassan dated 11th February, 2025, the University assured that it will make judicious application of the Grants to provide quality teaching and efficient research in the University to further assist the governor in taking the state to greater heights.

Similarly, the Vice Chancellor Fatimah Tahir applauds Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for the construction of five major access roads within Gadau, the main campus of the University, which was recently completed. 

“These roads will surely improve accessibility and convenience and also ensure a more conducive learning environment for students, faculty, and staff.

“Your Excellency, these and other efforts, are testament to your unwavering commitment, dedication and vision to transform Sa’adu Zungur University SAZU into a world-class institution, fostering academic excellence and innovation”
