Bauchi Govt approves 32,000 Minimum Wage For Retirees

The Bauchi State Government has approved minimum wage of 32,000 to the retired civil servants of the State.
The Head of civil service, Muhammed Sani Umar disclosed this to newsmen during a press briefing, held at the North East conference hall of the Bauchi State Government House.
He Said that the retirees increment was 12,000, but now will be receiving 32,000 as new minimum wage every monthly.
The head of civil service described the approval as a reflection of Governor Bala Mohammed’s unwavering commitment to improving the welfare of senior citizens.
He said that the approval of the new minimum wage of 32,000 to the retired civil servants in the state will really help them.
Also during the press briefing, the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Titus Saul Ketkukah, said that the executive council approved redesign and realignment of the Danazo–Gabchiyari road.
Ketkukah said that the council also okay the construction of a new road linking the International Conference Center to Abubakar Rimi Road.
He said that Payments for permanent works to K.K. Kingdom Company under a Public-Private Partnership framework were also approved.
