APC primaries: arrogant senator Ken Eze allegedly beats up NUJ chairman in Ebonyi
By Uchenna Okeh Abakaliki
Ken Eze, a senator seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), allegedly assaulted the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Samson Nwafor, during the declaration of APC primary election results in Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The incident reportedly occurred in Onueke when journalists covering the APC primary elections across various local government areas approached the senator for comments.

According to eyewitnesses, Senator Eze allegedly became angry instead of responding to questions from journalists and reportedly shouted at and physically confronted the NUJ chairman.
The Nations News reports that it took the intervention of some union members and other individuals present at the venue to rescue Samson Nwafor from the situation.
Senator Eze was later declared winner of the APC primary election to represent Ebonyi Central Senatorial District for a second term in the National Assembly.

He currently serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Information and Orientation.
