Anambra Police recovers arms, stolen cash, incriminating items

The Operatives attacked to the office of the Commissioner of Police, Anambra state, Ikioye Orutugu known as Special Patrol, on Wednesday recovered one pump-action rifle, one locally fabricated single-barreled rifle.
Other items recovered are; one ash Toyota highlander with reg nos: UWN 680 PE, suspected stolen cash amounting to ₦636,700.00 and other incriminating items.

The Nations News reports that the items were recovered during an offensive security operation in Abagana, Njikoka Local Government area, of Anambra State.
The recovery followed the abandonment of an operational vehicle by fleeing suspects after it was involved in an accident during a hot chase by the operatives.
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Tochukwu Ikenga (SP), “The suspects are currently being tracked, and intelligence-led operations have been intensified to ensure their arrest.
He stated that further developments shall be communicated later.
“The Anambra State Police Command reassures Ndi Anambra of its commitment to proactive policing, maintaining law and order, and safeguarding lives and property in the state.
