ADSUBEB boss, Babayi Signs N12 billion Basic Education Deal for Adamawa

The Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB), Murtala Umar Babayi, has successfully defended and signed the Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) for the 2022, 2023, and 2024 Matching Grant Action Plans worth N12 billion at the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) headquarters in Abuja.

During the defense session, Babayi, accompanied by his directors and desk officers, outlined strategic plans focusing on infrastructure development, quality assurance, sports development, and agricultural education. 

These projects according to reports are designed to uplift the basic education sector across the state and achieve specific education-related goals.

The UBEC Executive Secretary, Aisha Garba, commended Dr. Babayi for his unwavering dedication and passion toward transforming Adamawa’s educational system. 

She described the action plan as a major step forward in delivering quality education across the state.

Following the successful defense, Babayi proceeded to sign the MoU in the office of UBEC’s Director of Finance and Supply (DFS), Alhaji Adamu Misau, alongside other key officials.

Babayi appreciated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his commitment to basic education by ensuring seamless release of counterpart funds to executing the lofty educational programmes in the state.

He reaffirmed the ADSUBEB readiness to implement all approved projects immediately, ensuring that the funds are effectively utilized to improve the learning environment and outcomes for pupils across Adamawa State.
