Adamawa Govt approves Multi-billion Naira Contracts for Infrastructure Upgrade

The Adamawa State Executive Council has approved contracts worth billions of naira for the upgrade and renovation of key government structures and institutions across the state. 

This approval was made during the Council’s 20th meeting for 2025, held on Wednesday and presided over by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the Government House in Yola.

The sum  N837 million has been allocated for the renovation and upgrade of the Commission’s headquarters, including remodeling, construction of an administrative block, gatehouse, new office block, generator house, ICT block, perimeter fencing, and external works.

The project is expected to be completed within six months.

Another N279 million has been approved for the renovation of the Presidential Lodge within the Adamawa State Government House, Yola, with a completion period of six months.

Contracts worth N461 million and N905 million have been approved for construction works at ADSIEC, with completion timelines of six months.

Meanwhile  N926 million has been allocated for the implementation of Phase One of the Adamawa State Digital Academy Project, which includes provisions for renewable energy infrastructure and broadband connectivity.

 The project is expected to be completed within four months.

During the meeting the sum of  N181 million has been approved for the construction of height restriction barriers and installation of signage at four major flyovers in the state capital.

N794 million has been approved for the construction and renovation of the Adamawa State Liaison Office in Maitama, Abuja.

 Over N600 million has been approved for additional works to complete the Adamawa State House of Assembly office extension project.

The Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu Prambe, stated that these projects are part of Governor Fintiri’s urban renewal vision aimed at upgrading public infrastructure to meet modern global standards.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on ICT, Ahmed Hammajam, added that the Digital Academy project will drive digital literacy and innovation in the state.
