The All Progressives Congress (APC) Unity Caretaker Committee Chairman in Benue State, Chief Benjamin Omale, has stated that the ruling party is not panic or afraid of any coalition movement and those behind the formation of  the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the state.

Chief Omale further stated the ADC and other political parties in the State pose no threat to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue and Nigeria as a whole as they journey into the 2027 general elections.

He stated this while interacting journalists at the party secretariat in Makurdi at the weekend.

Chief Omale however noted  that the President Bola Tinubu administration’s policy on economic reforms, improved security situation across the country has endeared Nigerians to his administration, adding that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu and Governor Alia is manifesting practically in Benue State, as evident  in his recent visit and a follow-up by his wife to condole and cushion the effect of the attack on Yelwata community in Guma local Government area by terrorists in the recent past.

“The coalition movement which abducted ADC as it political party does not pose any threat to APC in Benue. Morealso, appointing former senate president David Mark as their  national chairman is the beginning of ADC failure in Nigeria because he has nothing to show.

“In Benue all over the 23 LGs, APC is firmly on ground. We have the councilors, the local government chairmen, the GLOs and almost all the major stakeholders at the local government areas are in the party. These major stakeholders are working tirelessly, rebuilding the party for victory.

“It would  surprise you to know that everyday, people are decamping from other political parties to our party, APC. Just like you know, the party governors forum are also witnessing decamping and the governors of APC has increased to 26.

“Coming to David Mark. Have you ever been to Otukpo where David Mark come from. He has nothing to show.”This el-Rufal we are talking about, I have worked with him closely. I have  lived in Kaduna State and there is no governors there that I have not worked with.  My best friend was governor Patrick Yakowa.

” I have worked with Nnmadi Sabo, Yero, Makarfi intimately for twenty years. If  el-Rufal is in the government today and  bread is N5000, he would tell people that Tinubu is the best.

Why was he in then and was campaigning for Tinubu, why was he out now and campaigning against Tinubu? Why are they fighting today, because  they felt they were not in the ministerial list today. If they are consider today, would them be speaking  like this today?

Do you know that el-Rufal was the first person to push for Tinubu..and because he asked for too much and the man said it can’t be granted, then you  got angry.

“Then, for David Mark, you are just pushing me to say what I don’t want to say because there is nothing enticing about him. Today, the roof in Otukpo is brand. Do you know why it is brand? Because of dust and during rainy season, you can’t moved. Come to Benue and see the transformation Alia is doing. Alia is initiating projects and executing projects” Omale said.

He reiterated that APC under his  leadership in the State, is carrying all stakeholders along in the scheme of things, explaining that monies realised from the sales of forms, certain percentages go to the State, zonal and national secretariat of the party as defined in its constitution.

“We have some committees whose members are involved and have a cordial working relationship with my Caretaker Committee members, not running a one-man show in Benue APC.

The leadership of the party have cordial relationship with the local government executive chairmen and everyone. We are  all working together because they were all  elected under the platform of APC the party.

“I have attended NEC twice as the authentic chairman from Benue State, where Mr President, national chairman, National Working Committee members were in attendance, saying APC is highly structured and on ground in Benue State, calling on people to disregard the antics of opposition elements out for their selfish interest”, Omale alluded.

The chairman however appealed to journalists to ensure adequate publicity of projects and programmes of the APC-led government at all levels for Nigerians to know and appreciate it.
