2027: ‘No hijack of coalition’s structures in Ebonyi – LP leaders insist

… Says Obidient Movement reaffirms commitment to LP in Ebonyi

A political group on the aegis of ‘Obidient Movement’, Ebonyi state chapter has ahead of the forthcoming 2027 general election reaffirmed its commitment to the labour party, LP. 

The group made this known in a statement signed by the former governorship and House of representatives candidates of Labour Party, LP, in Ebonyi state; Splendour Oko Eze and Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh, and issued to newsmen on Tuesday.

The leaders of the Labour party in the state; Oko-Eze and Ezeh, however, called on their supporters to remain steadfast and committed to the labour party, adding that there was nothing like hijacking of coalition’s structures in Ebonyi State.

The Nations News reports that the duo; Splendour Oko Eze and Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh are also members of the National Advisory Committee, Obidient Movement.

The statement reads in part: “The Labour Party in Ebonyi state wishes to reassure our numerous supporters that we remain steadfastly aligned with the Labour Party.

“Recent claims by paid agents alleging the hijacking of our coalition’s structures in Ebonyi State are unfounded and misleading.

“These claims are propagated by individuals from the fractured and fragmented PDP in the state, known for their politics of acrimony and rancorous noise-making. 

“We want to assure our supporters that the core supporters of Mr. Peter Obi are well-known and remain unperturbed by these distractions” they noted.
