The Senior Special Assistant on Christian Religious Affairs to the Bauchi State Governor, Pastor Zakka Luka Magaji on Friday urged Christian not to give room to any form of adulteration and illegality during and after the Celebration.

In a good will message, Magaji said that it gladdens his heart to yet again send an easter message and express his felicitation to the good people of Bauchi state on the sacred and spiritual event of the 2025 Easter Celebration.

“As a privileged clergy and a public servant, I count it a credible responsibility to identify boldly with my faith on such occasion and also emphasize through grace that the significance of Easter is indeed the most sacred and fundamentally pivotal to the Christian faith”

Adding that “No true Christian will attempt to ignore or dislodge the godly armoury in the cross and the power of resurrection of Jesus Christ the risen king. Our true essence is therefore to acknowledge that Jesus died and resurrected, strive to maintain godliness and uphold the supremacy of God Almighty”

“I must also utilize this moment to congratulate the Christian faithful for projecting a united front in all matters. Despite our overwhelming and glaring doctrinal differences, we have kept the one true identity of the Christian faith”

“Christian in Bauchi have always been under an undeserving microscopic surveillance, but such pressure has become the glue which has bound us for a common good and pure purpose of service to God and humanity. Our dispositions as a faith in all matters be it political or otherwise, has been that Unity, sense of belonging, progress and faithfulness is central and uncompromising”

“As citizens of Bauchi state, we have contributed immensely to the general progress and development of the state. We have done so by being lawful, adhering to rule of law, patriotic, and payment of taxes to all authorities as stipulated by law and the Bible, where we were encouraged to pray and obey our earthly authorities as they are constituted by God Almighty. I therefore call on us to maintain such status quo for the greater Good”

He acknowledged the efforts and sacrifices of the Government of the day. Since its inception & emergence in May 2019, Senator Bala’s led administration has upheld fairness, equity and Justice as its driving force and cardinals of governance.

“As a faith, our presence in government through appointments and other governmental allocations has been unprecedented, arguably the best in the history of the state since 1976. Such has been largely due to our political effort as citizens and also due to the Good heart of his Excellency, Sen. Bala A Mohammed(Con, Fnipr).

The governor has upheld inclusion as the most important ingredient for unity and progress, as of today, I’m glad to say that ” what is good for Bala is good enough for Bulus”. Our appreciation and pledge of loyalty to the kaura led government shall never cease.

“As we go about our celebrations, let us remember the essence of Easter and not give room for any form of adulteration or illegality. The less privilege among us should be cared for, the elderly should be respected, the sick and bereaved should be prayed for and visited, church leadership should be honoured and obeyed, above all God be praised in all our dealings”

The Senior Special Assistant on Christian Religious Affairs to the Bauchi State Governor, Pastor Zakka Luka Magaji urged people to be law abiding and be security conscious as they reflect soberly.
