Easter: Gov Bago urges Christians to pray for govt. officials, peace of the nation

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has facilitated with Christians across the globe, particularly Nigerlites on the occasion of the 2025 Easter celebration.
Governor Bago, in a message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, observed that Easter is one of the most important celebrations in Christianity as it is the foundation of the Christian faith.
He also notes that Easter, which is to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, is usually celebrated at the end of the Lent period, 40 days of fasting and prayers.
While congratulating the Christians, the farmer Governor reminded them of the need to reflect deeply and continue to hold firmly what Easter symbolizes to them and ensure they impact positively on the society.

He also urged the people to take advantage of the season to reinforce their prayers for peace and tranquility in Niger State in particular and Nigeria in general.
According to the Governor, Nigerians should continue to pray that God will guide government officials at all levels and give them wisdom to serve humanity better.
He reassures the people of the State that his administration will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the New Niger agenda is achieved for the benefit of all.
