Bauchi: University Don, Ketkukah resumes duty as Works Commissioner

The new Commissioner of works and transport in Bauchi State, Titus Saul Ketkukah on Monday resumed work, urging the staff to embrace the spirit of team work for the development of the state.
Ketkukah who addressed staff of the ministry, shortly after a handover ceremony at the conference hall of the ministry, said that he will not tolerate coming to work late.
Titus Saul Ketkukah, before he was appointed as the Commissioner for works and transport, was the Head of Department and deputy dean faculty of engineering, University of Jos, Plateau state Nigeria.
The Commissioner, Ketkukah said that with the help of God, he will build on the good work of his predecessors.
According to the Commissioner, “My task is to deliver in what the state governor, senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has appointed me to do”
“We’ll collaborate with other agencies and professional bodies in other to achieve our goals in terms of infrastructural development in the state”
He urged the good people of Bauchi State to continue praying for them in other to start good and end well, so that people will see the dividends of democracy in the state.
The Commissioner for works and transport, Professor Titus Saul Ketkukah urged the directors and all staffs in the ministry to fully support him and to work as team for the development of the ministry, Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
Speaking during the handed over ceremony, Engr. Muh’d Hamisu Garba who is the permanent secretary in the ministry, assured the Commissioner that they will give him maximum support as they give others in the ministry.
“Leadership is all about holding position and making a difference in the life of the people, he therefore expressed optimism that the new Commissioner would facilitate the good work of the Governor in terms of infrastructural growth and development for the betterment of the People”
The permanent secretary, Garba thanked governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for appointing civil engineer, Professor Titus Saul Ketkukah to Commissioner the ministry of works and transport.
