Bauchi: Councillor, Gwandah vows to tackle water scarcity In Bogoro community

The Councillor representing Bogoro C Ward in Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Gwandah Simon has renovated nine hand pump boreholes across the ward.
The water pumps were previously dug by other leaders in Kurum Dodo, Kurum Bakin Kasuwa, Kurum Sarauta, Bogoro and Kadunan Bogoro but it developed serious faults that led to the water scarcity witnessed in the area.
He said that the purpose of fixing the damaged boreholes was to enable the people in those wards, especially those who are rearing animals and farmers who are into irrigation.
“Provision of potable water to my ward was one of my campaign promises that is why I started my developmental Project with the provision of water supply.
“I was born in Bogoro C Ward and I know the main problem of my area, since I was a child, so this is the right time for me to be solving the problems one after the other.
“I must provide enough water supply to my Ward because it is the headquarters of the Bogoro local government area of the state,” he said.
He urged all the affected communities to maintain the water supply carefully.
He thanked the local government chairman, surveyor Yakubu Lawi Sumi and governor Bala Mohammed for supporting them in all their activities.
Speaking on behalf of the communities, the village head of Bogoro, Mr. Nuhu Tafida expressed his appreciation to the Councillor for the provision of water supply to some communities in Bogoro C. Ward.
He appealed to the Councillor in order to continue with the good work in order for all the units that formed the ward, so that they can have enough water to drink and take care of their animals.
