Mother, doctor allegedly kill twins in Anambra community, dump corpses in gutter

Residents of Cooperative Street in Okpoko, Ogbaru Local Government area, Anambra state, were reportedly greeted with lifeless bodies of newly born male and female twins dumped in the Sakamori drainage system by their mother, when they woke up on Sunday morning.

The residents who lay curses on the mother also extended the curses to the medical doctor they claimed may have administered the drug used for the forceful inducement that resulted in the prematured delivery of the twins.

A resident who pleaded anonymity said the dastardly act was carried out in the dead of the night pointing out that there was no such thing on the eve of the fateful day.

“In the night of Saturday I urinated in the particular spot where the lifeless bodies of the twins were abandoned inside the drainage system and there was nothing like that then.

AThe mother who killed and dumped them in the gutter should tell the police when she committed the atrocity.

“The police in Okpoko had on a tip off stormed the scene and picked the dead twins. Co tenants of the mother of the twins disclosed that the woman has also been arrested and I believe she will disclose the doctor that gave her the inducement drug that made her to deliver prematured twins,” he insisted.

It was gathered that the police in Okpoko has arrested the mother of the twins and embark on manhunt for the doctor who conspired with her to commit the murder.

Text messages sent to the State Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, (SP), for confirmation were not responded to as at the time of filing this report.
