Calabar Urban Development Authority lunches Support for Gov Bassey Otu in C’River

As build up for 2027 gathers momentum in cross river, the Calabar Urban Development Authority (CUDA) has launched out a massive support for the return of Governor Bassey Edet Otu for a second term in office
In a large turn out at the zoo garden in Calabar yesterday, the street sweepers and the task force came out in a large number to endorse Governor Bassey Otu and his deputy, Hon. Peter Odey for a second term because of the impact of the administration in their lives

The street sweepers mostly women disclosed that for over ten years they have been working for the state, this is the first time they are enjoying salaries as the administration of Governor Otu has doubled their salaries with many other incentives they have been getting from the office of the first lady which they never had before.
Speaking at the endorsement, the representative of Governor Bassey Otu, Special Adviser to the Governor on General Duties, Barr. Ekpenyong Akiba thank the women for their support to the administration since inception promised that the government will continue to do its best to the people
Akiba said that the administration Is called people first government because it has the welfare of the people as first consideration which is the main purpose of every government, maintaining that the governor has also come to transform the state as he is on a recovery mission
He enumerated the achievement of the Governor in about three years now in office to include infrastructure and human development that has brought the state this far in just few years
“I’am happy that our women have been sweeping for so many years, and this is the first time they have a hundred percent increments in their salaries” he assured them that this is just the beginning of many good things to come

He urged the women to be steadfast, remain focus in their resolve to support the Governor in 2027
In his speech, the Executive secretary, Calabar Urban Development Authority, Dr. Effiong Etim Ayi said the Governor has done well, that is why we in the (CUDA) are greatful to him for helping us to keep the city clean
Ayi disclosed that the total staff strength of CUDA is well over 3000 which is a great number when it comes to election, maintaining that the whole staff of the agency have pledged total support to the Governor which is the reason for the endorsement, he said.
The CUDA boss noted that there are a lot of transportation going on in the state across the 18 local government areas which is as a result of the Governor’s peoples first mantra which is touching so many cross riverians, according to Ayi, “we have never had it so good for well over ten years now or even more”
Ayi said drainages in the state have been desilted with the strong support of the Governor against flooding that the state use to have are a thing of the past, he said,”that is why we have come out like others to show him our open support towards his re-election come 2027, he said”
