2027: Obi visits Bauchi, woos Gov Bala, stakeholders

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the last 2023  general election, Peter Obi on Thursday visited Bauchi State and however sought for governor Bala and stakeholder’s support ahead of the forthcoming 2027 general election.

He said that Nigeria is headed in a wrong direction that need to be corrected.

Obi, the former governor of Anambra State paid a courtesy visit to governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of Bauchi State, at the Ramat House, presidential lodge, Bauchi

He said that he is in Bauchi State to seek and solicit the support and the cooperation of governor Bala Mohammed, the state stakeholders and the good people of North East in other to join hands and unite the country.

According to him said that “We want to have a United country in other to build the future of our children, because the country can not to continue the way it’s today for we’re headed in a wrong direction”

In his response, governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of Bauchi State, expressed his appreciation to Peter Obi and his delegation for their visitation to the state.

He said that as a state “We are really honoured and we’ll not and take this visitation for granted”

The governor said that “His excellency, Peter Obi and delegation are in Bauchi State not to ask us of anything but to seek for our partnership,

synergy to rebuild the country and to recreate the balance of power that our fore father’s has created before which have been abandoned”

He promised on behalf of the good people of Bauchi State that they will look on the request of Peter Obi.
