From Ene Asuquo, Calabar
As the 2027 election draws nearer, the African Democratic Party says the party is ready to reset Nigeria and bring back the lost glory of once the giant of Africa if voted to power in the next election
The former vice Chairman of ADC North central, Peter Edeh who represented the National Chairman of the party made this known at the unveiling of coalition of ADC in Cross River State.
Edeh stated that the party have gone round to put all the structures in place in all the state stating that time has come for the party to harmonize those structures, that is why they have different categories of people from PDP, labour party, ADC and the obedient movement who have come together here in cross river to make the event a success.

He added that the event is going to take place in all the 36 states of Nigeria there after the party will rollout other programs that have been put in place by the National Working Committee (NWC).
According to him, ” we expect people to go into registration, with the party, regularization, and revalidation of the structure that are there and membership registration”.
He said “under APC government, the glories of Nigeria have been lost and ADC is coming to restore our lost glories, reason why I’m calling on all well meaning Nigeria to come out for the struggle to take back our country and reset it”, he stated.
Also speaking at the unveiling, a chieftain of the party and a former Guber Candidate of ADC in Cross River, Dr Effiong Nyong lamented that many things have gone wrong and that the country has been run aground.
He pointed out that the issue of insecurity has completely ruined the reputation and exposed the incompetence of the national ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“From all of the things that have been going on in Nigeria, insecurity has become the major concern, as citizens are slaughtered in their homes brazenly.
“The first duty of government at any level is to ensure that citizens are secure. But APC has failed grossly in this regard.
According to Nyong, “In the last couple of years, every day has been a nightmare in Nigeria. People are killed, another 225 school children were kidnapped again from their school, houses are burnt, churches are attacked, and worshippers carried away by criminals. The lives of people are not secured at all.
He said, “We need to reset and cover our ungoverned spaces across Nigerian states, and Cross River State in particular.”
“The peace and glory of Nigeria have been lost, which is why it is now imperative for us to come in and reset the country. The fusion of different politicians into the coalition of ADC”, we must all join hands to restore and reset Nigeria, he maintained.
