Progressive Govs want monarchs to fight against insecurity in Nigeria

As the Federal government and United States President,  Donald Trump escalate their war of war over insecurity and killings in the Country, the All Progressives Governors forum has called on Traditional Rulers to conjure the “gods” of the land to help fight the menace. 

Chairman of the Progressive Governors forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma made the call during a solidarity and condolence visit to Governor Mohammed Umar Bago in Minna on Monday. 

The Progressive Governor’s Chairman said although,  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has strengthen the  security architecture of the country, the is need for Traditional means of fighting the insecurity scourge. 

“Iam  calling  on traditional rulers to conjure with the gods of the land to protect the Nation

“The President is committed in capacity building and we at the sub nations are committed to all his ideals, and are showing what good governance is all about”

The Governor said they were in the State with his Colleagues to commiserate with the Government and people of the State over the incessant boat mishaps,  tanker accidents and insecurity that has led to displace of a number of people. 

” we have come  to see one of our own  to console him, and encourage him to be strong 

” Ours is to support him in prayers, materially, and logically to ensure that the families are comforted to bear the loss “

” Governor Bago is one of our best,and brightest energetic and full of capacity in which we believe and would deliver when supported “

Responding, Governor Mohammed Umar Bago while appreciating his colleagues,  lamented the security challenge and the numerous disasters that has befallen the State.
