Ex-President Jonathan speaks on strengthening Nigeria’s democracy, economic development

The former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has insisted that Nigeria’s future lies in the boldness of its states to diversify their economies, empower their people, and strengthen democracy through economic inclusion.
Jonathan made this known during a two day Bauchi state economic and investment summit, held at the Ahmadu Bello International Conference Center In Bauchi.
He said that the sub-national initiatives are critical in reshaping economies, creating jobs, and attracting both local and international investments.

The former President commended governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for organizing the summit, adding that it will unlock Bauchi’s vast potentials.
On his part, Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of Bauchi State thanked the former president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for attending the opening ceremony of the Bauchi State economic and investment.
The governor said that the Ahmadu Bello International Conference Center itself symbolizes Bauchi’s openness to global partnerships and innovation.
He said that with also abundant resources in agriculture, solid minerals, and tourism, “We are building a platform for growth that is both inclusive and sustainable.
“My administration will remains committed in providing the infrastructure, policies, and incentives that will position Bauchi as a regional hub for trade, industry, and innovation.
