23-yr old girl, Ephraim emerges Queen Of humanity beauty pageant 2024 in C’River

As part of this year’s carnival Calabar festival, miss Glory Tete Ephraim has won this year’s beauty pageant, tagged Queen of Humanity season 2 organized by the office of the first lady of cross river state.

The event which took place at the Calabar International Conference Center weekend had dignitaries across all works of life from and outside the State  including National Assembly members.

Miss Ephraim 23, from Akpabuyo local government area of Cross River State and a graduate of the University of Calabar beats nineteen other contestants to emerge the overall winner of the context with a cash price of N5 million  and a brand new SUV car.

The first runner-up position went to miss Eside Deborah with a cash price of N3 million while  the second runner-up position went to miss Ritemiquin Odey with a cash of N1.5 million respectively and 200,000 naira as consolation price.

Queen of Humanity beauty pageant is part of the first lady’s pet projects to nurture young ladies to become better people.In her speech, Mrs Eyoanwan Otu said,

“We gather here tonight to celebrate a vision brought to life by the humanity without borders empowerment initiatives vision that transcends beauty to execute virtues, wisdom and the boundless strength of humanity in the girl child”

“Our Queen of Humanity 2014 will champion Transformation of projects that aligns with our humanity without borders initiatives, forms mentorship programs for Young girls, promoting education, health and ethical leadership”.

“In a world yearning for compassionate leadership, these remarkable maidens have answered the call. They embody the essence of our shared humanity a testament to the power of wisdom” she stated.

The winner, miss Ephraim thanked the organizers promising to use the office to fight gender based violence and to assist the less privileged especially women and children.
