2026: Gov. Fintiri urges Nigerians to embrace Love, Forgiveness, Unity

As Nigerians celebrate the dawn of 2026, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has extended his warmest congratulations to the people of Adamawa and the entire nation.
In a New Year message, Governor Fintiri called on citizens to cultivate the virtues of forgiveness, love, reconciliation, and dedication to the service of God and humanity.
“If all Nigerians carry the spirit of accepting each other as one, the year 2026 will be peaceful and less challenging,” the Governor said, emphasising the importance of unity in overcoming national challenges.
He urged Nigerians to reflect on their blessings over the past year and give thanks to God for witnessing another year.

Governor Fintiri expressed gratitude to the people of Adamawa for their support over the past six and a half years, assuring them of his administration’s continued commitment to their welfare.
“Despite past challenges, let us be optimistic, praying for recovery and progress,” he said, highlighting the potential for synergy between government, private sector, and citizens to drive growth and overcome obstacles.
In a statement signed by the chief press secretary Humwashu wonosikou state that the Governor outlined key focus areas for his administration in 2026, including investment in security, intelligence, and preventive measures to curb crime, as well as continued commitment to human capital development through youth and women empowerment schemes.
He also reaffirmed plans to complete physical infrastructure projects, including Legacy Projects, across all senatorial districts.
“Let us join hands in building a new Adamawa where ‘No one will be left behind and nothing will be left untouched’,” Governor Fintiri appealed, urging citizens to work together towards a prosperous future.
He concluded by wishing all a memorable and fulfilling year ahead, promising to continue striving to meet expectations in the remaining days of his administration.
