A concerned Nigerian Youth, Mr. Biruwa Elisha Gimi on Wednesday tells President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang that they are tired of mass burial.
In an interview with our correspondent, Gimi said that there’s a serious need for the Federal and the State Government to quickly intervene in what is just happening in some states of Benue, Plateau and other states across Nigeria.
“With the heaviest of hearts, we write to you today not just as concerned citizens, but as a people deeply wounded by the continued bloodshed in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
“Over 100 innocent lives—mothers, fathers, children—have been brutally taken. Families have been shattered, communities destroyed, and the land soaked with the blood of the innocent”
“This is not just tragic; it is unacceptable. The massacre in Bokkos is not an isolated incident. It is part of a disturbing trend of unrelenting violence that has plagued Plateau State and other regions for far too long.

“How many more must die before decisive action is taken? How many communities must be wiped out before the full weight of the state is brought to bear on the perpetrators?.
Gimi stated further that “We demand that the killers of these innocent citizens be brought to justice—swiftly, transparently, and without fear or favor. This cannot be swept under the rug. The Nigerian people are watching. The world is watching. Justice delayed is justice denied”
“We echo the recent advice of the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), who emphasized the need for communities to begin taking their security seriously.
“If the government cannot protect us, we will be forced to protect ourselves. The people of Bokkos—and indeed all Nigerians—have the right to live in peace and safety in their own land”
He said the nonsense of killing innocent masses must stop and people are tired of mass burials and empty promises. “We want action. We want justice. And we want it now”
“We are calling on you, President Tinubu and Governor Mutfwang, to rise to the occasion. Show leadership. Prove that the lives of the people matter more than politics or bureaucracy. We don’t care whose head needs to roll—this madness must end”
