Youths pick #25m nomination form for Sunday Nwali, kick against imposition in Ezza South

Youths in Ezza South local government area of Ebonyi State has picked a nomination interest form for it’s preferred aspirant, Sunday Nwali and vowed to ensure that he is elected to takeover from the incumbent chairperson, Euphemia Nwali.

The youths known as, Concerned youth of Ezza South Local government Area, however kicked against imposition of candidates in the forthcoming local government areas election scheduled to hold 20th July, 2024 by the Ebonyi State independent electoral commission, EBSIEC.

The youths led by Alex Ifeanyi Oguta who spoke to newsmen shortly after the presentation of the #25m cheque to Sunday Nwali, said that they are solidly behind him, and will do anything possible to ensure he is elected as the next chairman of Ezza LGA.

They stated further that Mr.Nwali’s antecedent in sponsoring students for overseas studies, paying school fees for indigent students and as well offsetting WAEC fees for the less privileged, are some of the things he has done that warranted the youths to pick the #25m nomination form for him.

Oguta, however, noted that the philanthropic gesture of the aspirant, Sunday Nwali, had positively impacted countless lives, inspiring hope in fostering community development.

“The leadership and vision of Mr. Nwali are precisely what we need to propel our local government forward and we believe he is the ideal candidate to represent our interest .

“The presentation of 25 million naira cheque is not only show of appreciation for Mr. Nwali’s tireless efforts, but also the demonstration of our confidence in his ability to excel in public office.

” As we present this cheque to Mr.Nwali, we are not only investing in his political ambition but also in the future of our great local government” he said .

In a swift reaction, the chairmanship aspirant, Mr Sunday Nwali said he will not disappoint the youths, adding that despite economic hardship in the country, the group still presented twenty five million cheque to him to lead the people of Ezza South.

Nwali further, assured the group that history will take note of the gesture demonstrated towards him, noting that he will do everything within his power to make sure that the trust reposed in him, is not betrayed

“Despite economic hardship of the country, you still gathered twenty five million naira for me to represent you in Ezza South, history will take note of that.

“We will do everything within our power to make sure that the trust you reposed on me is not betrayed.

“If I eventually occupy Ezza South local government, I will reawaken the core value of our people by giving elders and stakeholders the respect they deserve,” he said.
