Wives Of Benue Commissioners Undertake Facilities Tour, Commend Gov Alia

Wives of members of the Benue State Executive Council (Commissioner’s wives), under the auspices of Exco Spouses has commended the State Governor, Rev Fr. Hyacinth Alia over his developmental strides in the State.
They received the commendation during their facility tour of some projects in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

They however noted the giant infrastructural development as well as industrial growth being witnessed in the State.
President of the Spouses of Commissioners (Mrs) Bamidele Ornguga said the tour has afforded them the opportunity to see how the governor is empowering the citizens in skills acquisition through the Benue Fashion hub and providing needed infrastructure in the State.
She maintained that the over 120 machines including monograms has provided Benue citizens with opportunity to learn skills and become self-reliant.
“We saw suites that were produced at the fashion hub. I want to appreciate the Governor for the passion he has to empower the citizens of this state and I want to encourage Benue people to utilize these facilities.
“We are here to see the laudable projects embarked upon by Gov Alia. We have seen a lot. We went to the fashion hub, it is a beautiful site with various types of machines where our youths are empowered. We saw young ladies and boys being useful.
“We came to the Zeva Brewery and saw the production of the drink. It is a beautiful site to behold. We were told that they will soon start producing carbonated drinks like Malt. It is a noble one for financial empowerment”, Ornguga stated.
The forum also applauded the good work the governor is doing and pledged to support him and their spouses to continue in office beyond 2027.
Dr. Mrs Ornguga who is the wife of the Commissioner for Justice and Public Order assured that they will continue to mobilise support for the governor for reelection bid, adding that governor Alia deserves eight years in office.

On his part, the State Commissioner for Finance Michael Oglegba who facilitated the tour explained that the governor has invested hugely in industrialization, establishment of companies and infrastructure.
He added that the visit to the Zeva Brewery is to afford the commissioner’s wives to see for ourselves what is happening in Benue State under governor Alia.
He noted that the Zeva production plant is a fully automated beer making factory that can compete with any beer factory in Africa.
“There is a line for baking and carbonated drinks which will soon come onstream. We have the water line that would be functional soon. We say well done to the Governor” Oglegba said.
While conducting the women round the Benue State Fashion hub, the General Manager Tehteh Hembafan disclosed that the training centre had graduated over 100 trainees last year and is currently training over 300.
