Tinubu’s SSA, Nweze applauds Gov. Mbah’s defection to APC

…..says S-East region are for Tinubu

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on community engagement South East, Chioma Nweze on Tuesday applauded governor Peter Mbah of Enugu state for dumping Labour Party, LP, for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Nweze described the defection of Mbah into APC, as a great welcome development and a big boost for the ruling All Progressives Congress in the South East region.

The SSA, Nweze who joined APC governors and other prominent stakeholders in the South East region to welcome governor Peter Mbah into APC, said that the ruling All Progressives Congress will continue to wax strong in the region.

She avowed that the South East region will continue to give President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the required maximum support to succeed in his administration in the country.

Nweze who made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen shortly after governor Mbah’s defection, said:”The defection of governor, Peter Mbah of Enugu state, from labour party, LP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC, is a welcome development.

“I commend him (Mbah) for taken the bold step to align with the good governance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“The President has demonstrated his ingenuity and commitment to building a united and prosperous Nigeria, and this, he has maintained by ensuring inclusive leadership, especially in terms of political appointment, infrastructural development, empowerment and sustainable business support systems, etc.

“And South East region are one of the beneficiaries of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu good governance. We are particularly thrilled to see the appointment of Igbo sons and daughters to key positions in Nigeria, and we can’t take it for granted.

“The inclusion of south east region in the scheme of things are a clear indication that the President values the contributions of Ndigbo to the development of our great nation.

“And as such, we can’t afford to continue to do opposition, and by this defection of governor Peter Mbah to APC, all political parties in the South East zone will soon collapse into APC.

“And, I enjoin all Igbo sons and daughters at home and in diaspora to support President Tinubu’s visionary leadership and his renewed hope agenda initiative, targeted at fostering peace, growth and prosperity of the region” she stated.
