Port Harcourt varsity confers honorary Doctor to Gov. Fintiri

The University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has conferred an honorary Doctor of Science in Public Administration on Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri,
The Nations News reports that the conferment of an honorary Doctor was as a result of the governor’s outstanding contributions to leadership and public service.
Conveying the decision of the University’s Senate, Registrar and Secretary to Council, Gloria Chindah stated that the formal conferment will be made at the University’s 35th Convocation ceremony July 26th, 2025.

“I am deeply humbled and honored to accept the honorary Doctor of Science in Public Administration award from the University of Port Harcourt.
This recognition is a testament to my commitment to public service and leadership. I express my gratitude to the University’s Senate and Governing Council for this esteemed award.
I am proud to be part of a community that values excellence and service to humanity.
