Police arrest 567 suspects,.rescue 13 children in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command said it has arrested 567 suspects for various offenses, including kidnapping, armed robbery, child trafficking, and rape.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris who made this known while briefing newsmen, revealed the efforts of the command to combat crime and criminality in the state.
The Nations News reports that two women;, Mrs. Ngozi Abdulwahab and Mrs. Uche Okoye, were arrested for allegedly stealing and trafficking 13 children from Adamawa to Anambra State and other parts of the country.
The suspects were found to be responsible for multiple child-stealing and trafficking cases in the state.
Meanwhile, Zephaniah Alfred, a notorious gang leader, was also arrested for masterminding armed robbery activities, along the Numan-Gombe road.
He had been on the command’s wanted list for a while.
Furthermore, .7 suspected Shilla boys were arrested for house-to-house armed robbery.
The suspects include Muhammed Alhaji, Jafar Babangida, Jiyau Garba, Bawuro Ibrahim, Sahabi Muhammed, Lukman Usman, and Auwal Musa.
The command has also made significant recoveries, including (6) Six AK-47 rifles, three pump-action guns, and 11 fabricated assault rifles were recovered.
Three vehicles, five tricycles, four motorcycles, and two gas cylinders were recovered. Other Items Computers, mobile handsets, various charms, and other items were also recovered.
The Commissioner of Police expressed gratitude to the state government and the people of Adamawa State for their support and cooperation.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police, emphasizing that security is a collective responsibility.
