Police arrest 2 suspected tricycle thieves, arraigned, remanded in prison

Police operatives serving in the Enugu State Police Area Command has arrested two persons for allegedly stealing a tricycle from where it was parked at Achara Layout, Enugu, in the night hours of June 22, 2024,

The suspects; Friday Ogbu aged 31 and Onovo Sunday Udochukwu aged 34 were equally arraigned in court sitting in Enugu state.

The Police Public Relations Officer Enugu State Command, Daniel Ndukwe made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Enugu state.

He disclosed that the suspects have been arraigned in the Enugu South Magistrate Court and remanded in the Correctional Custodial Centre.

Ndukwe revealed further that the stolen tricycle was recovered from the suspects during the arrest.

The statement reads in part: “the tricycle was recovered upon the arrest of the suspects, while the owner of the tricycle was located and he identified the tricycle as his.

“The suspects were arraigned on two-count charges of conspiracy and stealing” he stated.
