PCRC zone 13 conducts security summit, honours AIG as Agunaechemba

The Assistant Inspector General of police, AIG, zone 13, Ukpo, Dunukofia Local Government Area, Anambra State, Abayomi Peter Oladipo, on Tuesday, conferred with the Chieftaincy title of “Agunaechemba”, by the zonal Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC.

The  PCRC leadership led by the Vic Agubisi, (a.k.a. Action Chairman).

Earlier in his speech, sir Agubisi who is the Senior Special Assistant to the National chairman of PCRC, on Inter State Projects, Southeast zone, said that, ” 

This security summit/Grand reception is very important especially now that crime has drastically reduced in order to maintain the peaceful atmosphere”.

He stressed the need to enlighten the general public of the zone to be alert at all times and help maintain the peaceful atmosphere by fishing out the hoodlus still living among them.

In his response, the AIG commended sir Vic for finding him worthy to be so honoured adding that it will spur him to do more in the zone that comprised of Enugu and Anambra states.

His words, “Tradition is great, this honour will live long in my  memory even if I leave the Nigerian Police Force. I don’t know I can look beautiful like this in this traditional regalia”.

Reacting, the chairman, Anambra North Council of Traditional Rulers, Igwe Appostle Benjamin Onukwube, Okeji, said, “I am very much interested in what they did today because AIG has proven his integrity in security with Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu.

“Now Anambra state is calm more than it was as people are now moving safely and that is why I am here. The award given to me as a ‘Distinguished Grand Citizen,’ I am very happy and honoured”.

In his speech, the CEO of Ndu Vino Global Invest Limited, High Chief Chimezie Okoye, Felicitated with the AIG for the good work he is doing in the zone and described him as a man of great wisdom, integrity and zero tolerance for corruption.

Okoye who was honoured with award of Excellence, extolled sir Vic for his tireless efforts in piloting the affairs of zone 13 stating that his hard-work and perseverance are worthy of emulation.

Also speaking after being honoured, Onowu B. U. Chineze of Nteje, commended sir Vic for the summit and honour done to him and others adding that it will spur him to do more.

Also honoured was the zonal PPRO, Josephine Ihunwo, CSP), Certificate of honor/Special award.

Highlight on the occasion was the honouring of about seven police officers for their contributions towards security.
