Njubigbo emerges igweship candidate in Anambra community

A Lagos based business man and the Ezeigbo of Main land/Yaba, local Government Area, Lagos State, Godwin Njubigbo, has emerged as candidate to contest with others for the Igweship throne of Oba community, Idemili South Local Government Area. Anambra State.

Njubigbo who scaled the first hurdle of screening that preceded the primary election among three contestants listed for the primary, expressed satisfaction for being the one that emerged to contest the Igweship stool with candidates of other quarters.

Speaking on his victory, Njubigbo disclosed that, “We have done the screening and primary election. I am the one Aboji community produced to represent Aboji in Oba.

“We were three, one withdrew. So now that I am the candidate, other villages when they produce their candidates we go for screening and then the final election. My interest is to work for my people of Oba. If I become the monarch I will create employment opportunity for the teeming youths.

“Also there are markets built that are not functional and I will make them to be functional for our youths to be engaged there,” he further disclosed.

Expressing satisfaction with the victory of Njubigbo, the President General of Aboji community, Nze Dozie Nweke, lamented that for about six years the community has been struggling to have a monarch.

“For six years we have been fighting to have a monarch, Eze Okpoko 11, If we have a king now certain unwelcomed things will not be happening.

“As it is now, only Aboji has produced a candidate that will contest with others for the Igweship throne and he is Godwin Njubigbo, the Igwe, Ezeigbo of Main land/Yaba, in Lagos,” he stated.
