Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors elect new leaders in Kogi

The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, Kogi State Branch at the weekend elected new chairman, John Eniwaiye and others to man the affairs of the union for the next two years.

The election was conducted by a three-man electoral Committee headed by Lawal Jiya.

 Eniwaiye was declared winner as the Chairman-Elect with a total of 18 Votes.

Others elected into the Branch Executive Council include: Anthony A. Tinufa as the Vice-Chairman; Agada Fredrick- Secretary; Omeiza Sunday as Publicity Secretary; Ibrahim Bukky S. -Treasurer; 

Others include; Halima Etubi -Fin. Secretary, Osanaiye Olushola- Welfare Secretary; Samuel Faruna,-Assistant Publicity Sec.; and Mohammed Abdulwasiu as the Auditor 1.

In his acceptance speech, the Chairman-Elect thanked pioneers and members of the branch for the confidence reposed in him and promised to run an all-inclusive administration where every member can contribute to the repositioning of the state branch. 

He further reassured members of his plans to strategically transform members’ welfare, continue the secretariat building project, and set up a temporary and functional secretariat to ease branch activities.

The new Chairman of Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, Kogi State Branch also promised to reform the database system, promote members participation in capacity building, engage undergraduate,, aid establishment of Estate Management and Valuation in tertiary institutions in the State.

Eniwaiye also vowed to promote the ongoing Board and the institution reforms, carry out deliberate advocacy programs that will encourage professional engagement, and ensure compliance to professional regulatory requirements.

The Nations News Nigeria reports that Eniwaiye will be taking over from Aduku Philip Apeh, ANIVS whose tenure in office as Chairman of the Branch will end on the 27th of March 2025.
